Channel content changes

Recently I watched a video by Domingo0022IWAY entitled "Revelation." You can watch it below.

I left a comment on the video explaining my predicament, which I shall go into more detail now.

My channel has had little growth since 2012. True, I have managed to ascend past ten thousand subscribers, but few are actually watching my videos. Viewership has been consistently on the decline since 2012. At first I believed it was the result of my absence after my computer hard drive failed on July 2, 2012. It turns out I was incorrect.

My viewership has declined because of the decline in my top series: Microsoft Sam reads Funny Windows Errors. This series undoubtedly reels in the most views on my channel. And yet the series has fallen into decline of my own doing. I have reduced the schedule from weekly to bi-weekly to monthly. I recognize now that this production decline is unsustainable.

Through my best days in 2010 and 2011, my channel grew from 1000 to 6000 subscribers. What was my most produced content those years, you ask?

Funny.
Windows.
Errors.

Noticed a pattern?
Funny Windows Errors = growth.
Anything else except Stupid and Weird Signs, Engrish, and Blue Screen of Death = contraction.

With this information in mind, I am announcing new changes to my channel.

Funny Windows Errors, the flagship

Funny Windows Errors will once again become the flagship of my channel. In other words, the series will adopt a mix of old and new traditions.

First, Funny Windows Errors will return to its weekly schedule for Season 18. This means it will be finished April 16, assuming no scheduling conflicts. There will be a one-week break to feature other content (Blue Screen of Death, Engrish, or a gaming video) before commencing a new season on April 30.

As a result of a more frequent upload schedule, the videos will be shorter and use fewer errors. Consequently, episodes will feature two error requests MAXIMUM. No exceptions. If you wish to have an error featured, you must compete. I will create the other eight errors.

Comment questions will remain, though I won't feature comments at the ends of videos. If you enjoy a comment on a video, give it a thumbs up and it be highlighted in the comments section of that video.

Niche Content (Signs)

Stupid and Weird Signs remains one of my most popular series in that it pulls in huge numbers of views despite its infrequent schedule. The infrequency will remain: Stupid and Weird Signs videos will be limited to June 23. Special videos for special occasions.

Engrish

As stated, Engrish remains a good source of views and will air between seasons of Funny Windows Errors.

Blue Screen of Death

Blue Screen of Death remains popular nine episodes into the series. As with the Engrish, episodes will air between seasons of Funny Windows Errors.

The Failed Gaming Experiment

Unfortunately, reception to my new gaming videos has been lukewarm at best. Aside from my Team Fortress 2 video, few people are watching the gaming videos. As a result of poor viewership in this area I will be winding down my gaming content, limiting it mostly to Team Fortress 2 gameplay. Again, these videos will be limited to the week between Funny Windows Errors seasons, though it will have to compete with Engrish and Blue Screen of Death. Funny gaming clips featuring Microsoft Sam may appear in Blue Screen of Death.

"...and the war in..." videos

There will be no war videos in the foreseeable future. As I have stated numerous times, I do not wish to make another war series after dealing with the two-year long charade surrounding The Great Final War.

I hope I've covered all the bases. I hope these alterations give a much needed boost to my channel, and I hope you enjoy my content in the rest of 2016 and beyond.

2015 NFL playoff predictions (Part 3 - Championship)

Welcome to Part 3 of NFL playoff predictions by Thunderbirds101 and AT88TV! The Divisonal games have concluded, with home field advantage proving itself valuable, unlike the Wild Card round. The Broncos held strong to knock out the Steelers. The Patriots smothered the Chiefs and their winning streak. The Panthers narrowly escaped a relentless comeback by the Seahawks. Finally, the Cardinals broke the hearts of the Packers in an overtime thriller.

Here are our picks for the Championship games.

#2 New England Patriots vs #1 Denver Broncos
We've seen this duel before. The Patriots will be hungry for a chance to win their second consecutive Super Bowl, while Denver wants a chance to play in a Super Bowl and not end up annihilated 43-8. This will be a duel for the ages, much like the thriller between the Cardinals and the Packers. Still, there can be only one.

Prediction:
Patriots win, 38-31.

Result:
Broncos win, 20-18.

I'm delighted I predicted incorrectly. 

A number of disastrous misplays by the Patriots - including two interceptions and a missed PAT - allowed Peyton Manning to bring the Broncos back to the Super Bowl for the first time since they were annihilated two years ago by the Seahawks. Perhaps Manning may yet find redemption. The Broncos await the winner of the Panthers/Cardinals duel.

#2 Arizona Cardinals vs. #1 Carolina Panthers
The Cardinals are fresh off a thrilling overtime victory over the Packers, while the Panthers survived a relentless second-half comeback by the Seahawks. Both the Cardinals and Panthers still wish for their first Super Bowl victory. The Cardinals won't get the chance to the chance to exact revenge over the Steelers, but the Panthers still have a chance to exact revenge over the Patriots, who they fought - and lost - in Super Bowl 38. Again, there can be only one.

Prediction:
Panthers win, 34-28.

Result:
Panthers win, 49-15.

Cardinals fans as the team imploded.

Panthers fans as the thrashing intensified.

Unbelievable. Seven turnovers by the Cardinals allowed the Panthers to maul the Cardinals into humiliation; the Cardinals were unable to mount even a marginal comeback. The Panthers outplayed the Cardinals at every moment, mounting a relentless attack that refused to wane even as the lead continued to grow into double digits. The Cardinals return to the desert with their heads held low while the Panthers move on to face Peyton Manning and the Broncos in Super Bowl 50.

2015 NFL playoff predictions (Part 2 - Divisional)

Welcome to Part 2 of NFL playoff predictions by Thunderbird101 and AT88TV! The Wild Card games have concluded, with home field advantage proving itself worthless. The Chiefs obliterated the Texans. The Steelers slipped by the Bengals with a last-second field goal. The Seahawks defeated the Vikings because of a missed twenty-seven yard field goal in the last moments. Finally, the Packers thumped the Redskins after a sluggish start.

Here are our picks for the Divisional games.

#6 Pittsburgh Steelers vs #1 Denver Broncos
After narrowly escaping in Cincinnati, the Steelers must engage the Broncos in a high-altitude, potentially cold game. These teams met in December, where the Steelers won by a touchdown. The Broncos will be hungering for revenge with Peyton Manning back at the helm.

Prediction:
Broncos win, 31-21.

Result:
Broncos win, 23-16.

#5 Kansas City Chiefs vs. #2 New England Patriots
The Chiefs continue to be an unstoppable force, more so after obliterating the Texans. The Patriots, meanwhile, lost four of its last six games heading into the playoffs, shattering their perfect record. Once again, the Chiefs have momentum, while the Patriots not so much. The Patriots will not repeat as Super Bowl champions, while the Chiefs will continue their insane winning streak.

Prediction:
Chiefs win, 24-20.

Result:
Patriots win, 27-20.

After pummeling the Texans last week, the Chiefs found themselves unable to overcome the Patriots. A costly fumble by the Chiefs sealed their fate. The Chiefs could not stop Brady and Gronk, and the winning streak has come to an abrupt end. The Patriots await the winner of the Broncos-Steelers game.

#6 Seattle Seahawks vs. #1 Carolina Panthers

A heartbreaking/incredible missed field goal by the Vikings gave the Seahawks the miracle they needed to survive in bitterly cold Minnesota. Now the Seahawks must face one of the most dangerous teams in the league: the Panthers. These teams met early in the season, and the Panthers won after the Seahawks imploded in the fourth quarter of that game, which ended 27-23. Russell Wilson's Seahawks must step up and score in all quarters to hold the line against Cam Newton's Panthers. The bitter cold will not be a problem in Charlotte, but the Seahawks cannot be complacent. Beast Mode will return after missing the Wild Card game.

Prediction:
Seahawks win, 30-24.

Result:
Panthers win, 31-24.

A disastrous first half marred by turnovers and poor defense proved to be the dagger in the heart for the Seahawks hopes for a third consecutive appearance in the Super Bowl. The Seahawks played great in the second half, but nothing excuses the abysmal performance in the first half.

#5 Green Bay Packers vs. #2 Arizona Cardinals
The Packers came out strong against the Redskins after a slow start, and now they must face a team that destroyed them just weeks ago: the Cardinals. Despite a solid victory over the Redskins, the Packers may face a repeat of that horrible game last month.

Prediction:
Cardinals win, 41-27.

Result:
Cardinals win, 26-20 in OVERTIME.

Easily the most intense playoff game of the year so far. A seesaw game that saw costly turnovers, unbelievable plays, and a Green Bay Hail Mary at the end to extend the game into overtime. Unfortunately for the Packers, their luck ran out immediately: first play in overtime they surrendered seventy-five (!) yards. Two plays later, the game is over. Touchdown Cardinals. Larry Fitzgerald will be hailed as the overtime hero, while the Packers end another season in overtime on the road. The Cardinals await either the Seahawks or the Panthers.

2015 NFL playoff predictions (Part 1 - Wild Card)

With the NFL playoffs approaching, I thought I would make some predictions on the outcomes of the playoff games. This post will predict the result of the Wild Card games. Further posts will predict the winners of the Divisonal and Championship games and eventually the Super Bowl. This post also features picks from AT88TV.

#6 Pittsburgh Steelers vs #3 Cincinnati Bengals
Last month the Steelers pummeled the Bengals in Cincinnati. Now with Bengals QB Andy Dalton injured, it seems improbable that the Bengals could withstand the Steelers.

Prediction:
Steelers win, 35-17.

Result:
Steelers win, 18-16.

WOW. What a game! Defense held strong through most of the first half, but the Bengals buckled first. The Steelers attacked with a touchdown and four field goals, including one field goal in the last fifteen seconds of the game. The Bengals defense held the Steelers to under twenty points and the Bengals offense exploded in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to stop the Steelers.

#5 Kansas City Chiefs vs. #4 Houston Texans
While most of the focus this season has been on either the almost perfect Carolina Panthers or the reigning champion New England Patriots, the Kansas City Chiefs have quietly gone on a ten-game winning streak, including convincing wins over the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Chiefs look like they all the momentum going into the Wild Card round, but Houston won't go down without a fight.

Prediction:
Chiefs win, 38-31.

Result:
Chiefs win, 30-0.

Houston, we have a problem. The Texans looked worse than the Broncos in Super Bowl 48. The Chiefs pulled off their most convincing win all season, while the Texans coughed up the ball five times in one of the most humiliating games in years. Houston went down without a fight.

#6 Seattle Seahawks vs. #3 Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings have key defensive players back that they did not have during their brutal loss to Seattle. The Seahawks have Chancellor back, but Beast Mode remains sidelined. It may not be a thorough rout like last time, but it will be an interesting affair.

Prediction:
Seahawks win, 24-10.

Result:
Seahawks win, 10-9.

A game marked by bizarre plays, a Seahawks offense that did not show up until the fourth quarter, and a humiliating missed game-winning field goal by the Vikings. Unbelievable. The Seahawks survive the cold to fight another day in Carolina!

#5 Green Bay Packers vs. #4 Washington Redskins
This will be the most unpredictable game. The Packers find themselves in the aftermath of back-to-back losses: an absolute thrashing from Arizona and a disappointing loss to Minnesota. The Redskins enter the playoffs on a four game winning streak, but their record against stronger teams like Carolina and New England leaves much to be desired. The could go either way, but it will certainly be a close game.

Prediction:
Redskins win, 27-21.

Result:
Packers win, 35-18.

After a strong start, the Redskins derailed and allowed thirty-five points to the Packers. Despite entering the playoffs on back-to-back losses, the Packers exhibited strength all on fronts after a rough first quarter. The question now is whether Green Bay will be destroyed at the hands of Arizona like what happened not too long ago.

Can't see past Pittsburgh. Beat them last month, should beat them again.

Winner: Steelers 38-10

Result: Steelers win, 18-16.

Holy shit. That was a great game if I ever saw one. That must be hard to swallow for Cincinnati. The Bengals fought as hard as they could but they simply couldn't hold Pittsburgh off; the Steelers advance. Fair play to both teams.

#5 Kansas City Chiefs vs. #4 Houston Texans

This will be very close. I predict Kansas too but it may be decided by the last second FG or OT.

Winner: Chiefs 38-35

Result: Chiefs win, 30-0.

Wow. I wasn't expecting that level of destruction. Houston put up no resistance.

#6 Seattle Seahawks vs. #3 Minnesota Vikings

Not betting against my Hawks for this one. We may not have Beast Mode but we have Wilson, Lockett and Chancellor who should do a job on even Minnesota's improved defense.

Winner: Seahawks 32-7

Result: Seahawks win, 10-9.

Definitely very unpredictable. I'm going Green Bay. Just.
